Jumia sent out a newsletter to their customers to debunk the fake recruitments that were circulating on all social media platforms.
It is as follows:
Our attention has been drawn to a message sent specifically via WhatsApp by a ‘hiring manager at Jumia,’ inviting people to apply for part-time work at Jumia.
We would like to state that this information is completely false and misleading and that the public should disregard it. We denounce our association with this message and any future messages of a similar nature that may be distributed to the public.
At Jumia, we remain committed to transparency in the conduct of all our activities, including recruitment, and all communication or updates about this are distributed via our official online platforms and verified social media pages.
