The Nigerian Communications Commission has warned the public about a falsified recruitment exercise purportedly conducted by the Commission.
The NCC stated in a statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, that it is not recruiting for any position directly or through any proxy.
The Director stated that the Commission has standard recruitment processes and procedures that it strictly adheres to and that the public should always visit its website and social media handles when looking for trustworthy information about the Commission.
“The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) would like to draw the general public’s attention to the false advertisements being circulated online soliciting applications for the Commission’s purported recruitment exercise for 2021/2022,” the statement said.
“The Commission is not recruiting for any position, either directly or through a proxy.”
“The general public is hereby advised to be cautious and vigilant in order to avoid falling victim to the ploys of fraudsters and scammers who are disseminating false recruitment notices.”
“The public should be aware that the Commission follows standard recruitment processes and procedures.”
“Members of the public are advised to ALWAYS visit the Commission’s website (www.ncc.gov.ng) and its verified social media handles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for accurate and reliable information.”
