Scamexpress received a report about how a victim was scammed by @unboxedperfumes_store Instagram.
From November 25th to December 5th, 2022, a sale promo advertisement was on @unboxedperfumes_store Instagram page.
The handler of @unboxedperfumes_store stated that she will deliver to everyone between the 8th and 15th of the same month. A friend recommended the Instagram page, and they both purchased perfumes worth N20,000 and N57,000 naira, for a total of N77,000 naira.
There were no further responses from her after the payment to the account was made. @unboxedperfumes_store’s handler kept posting videos of herself delivering orders.
Following Christmas, the handler of @unboxedperfumes_store announced that buyers outside of Lagos should send their Instagram handles for waybill numbers.
Surprisingly, both the victim and his friend were blocked by the handler of @unboxedperfumes_store.
Despite further investigation, the handler of @unboxedperfumes store continues to post videos of herself making another sale.
The handler’s Instagram handle has changed from @thriftwithnicole to @unboxedperfumesbackup hub and now to @unboxedperfumes store.
To date, no items have been delivered, and no refund has been issued.
