A distressing incident has come to light involving a fraudulent online hair vendor operating under the username @_princess_wig on Instagram. This scam has left an innocent customer robbed of her well-earned funds.
Recently, ScamExpress, an Instagram account dedicated to exposing scams, was contacted by a victim who had fallen victim to the cunning tactics of the Instagram page @_princess_wig.
The victim had transferred a total of N26,000, which included N25,000 for a wig and an additional N1,000 for delivery, to an account provided by the handler of @_princess_wig on July 21, 2023.
However, once the handler of the deceitful Instagram page received the payment, they immediately blocked the victim on both WhatsApp and Instagram, severing all communication.
ScamExpress launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter, aiming to uncover the other side of the story. Regrettably, the handler of @_princess_wig blocked ScamExpress on Instagram as well, hindering any further inquiries.
To date, no wig has been dispatched to the victim, and no reimbursement has been made.
