A concerned Twitter user recently exposed the deceitful practices of an Instagram account known as @monis_fashion1. The account operates as an online vendor but fails to fulfill its promises.
The unfortunate incident unfolded when a friend of the Twitter user placed an order for some bikinis through the Instagram vendor, @monis_fashion1.
The handler of @monis_fashion1 and the victim agreed upon a price for the bikinis, totaling N32,000. The victim promptly sent the payment, eagerly anticipating the delivery of her chosen items. The handler assured her that the goods would arrive the same day by 6 pm.
However, as the appointed time neared, the victim anxiously waited for the delivery but no dispatch rider appeared. Frustrated and concerned, she attempted to contact the handler of @monis_fashion1 numerous times, but her calls went unanswered.
Later, the handler of @monis_fashion1 reemerged online and offered an apology, claiming to be occupied with other matters. She promised that the delivery would occur the following morning. However, the victim’s hopes were dashed as she discovered the next day that she had been blocked by the online vendor, @monis_fashion1.
Further investigation revealed that @monis_fashion1 lacked a verified physical address and a direct contact number, relying solely on WhatsApp communication.
To date, the victim has not received her ordered items, and no refund has been issued.
