Abubakar Magaji Dango.Papagiro.apple.legit, an Instagram account notorious for fraudulent activities, falsely claims to be a seller of phones, laptops, and accessories. A recent victim shares their experience of falling prey to Abubakar Magaji Dango.Papagiro.apple.legit’s deceitful tactics.
The victim encountered a post promoting the opportunity to acquire a phone through an “easy buy mobile phone” scheme. They were enticed with the promise of obtaining the phone by making a 70% deposit upfront and paying the rest in installments at a later time.
Trusting this arrangement, the victim transferred N224,000 Naira to one of the customer agents who claimed to represent the deceptive Instagram page.
Upon conducting further investigations after being scammed, the victim discovered that Abubakar Magaji Dango.papa.giro.apple.legit.store had amassed 39,000 followers, predominantly Nigerians. Additionally, legitimate pages confirmed successful deliveries with real people and apparently genuine interactions.
To this day, the victim has neither received the promised phone nor been refunded.
