They initially hacked his account and chatted with his friends about a money doubling where the principal will be doubled in 5 hours. And after some of the friends fell into the trap, the scammers kept requesting money to claim their investment, that something happened to their system.
They will then block you and try to hack your account to scam others with it as well. Below is one of the accounts used to scam.
