I messaged him after seeing his post on Facebook. I urgently needed to get electrical appliances, as eCommerce sites like Jumia will take time to deliver the product.
He sent many pictures, trying to show that he has a lot of appliances in his stock (even when most of the pictures looked like they were screenshots from Google).
He quoted the total price for what I needed and I playfully beat it to half the price. Haba! Even tokunbo can’t be that cheap! That was when I confirmed he was a scammer. I also did random checks to confirm he was truly a scammer. I played along and told him that I was ready for business and requested his account details.
He told me to make the half payment if I want fast delivery and pay the remaining half on delivery. I told him that I have made the payment. After he kept messaging me that he is yet to get the alert, I asked him to wait till the next day to get the alert.
Funny enough, I woke up to his missed calls and text messages saying that he hasn’t gotten the money. I told him it has been made and that he should keep checking his account
After frustrating him, I made it known to him that I knew he was a scammer and he cursed me lmao. Oloshi wan scam me!.
