Scam Express has recently received a disturbing report concerning the deceitful actions of an Instagram page known as @declutter_usedhomeitems.
This Instagram account appears to be unreliable when it comes to fulfilling orders for various items.
On September 27th, 2023, a victim contacted the Declutter Instagram page (@declutter_usedhomeitems) with the intention of purchasing two prominently displayed air conditioners.
The victim proceeded to make a payment of N215,000, which included a delivery fee, into a Moniepoint account provided by the Instagram page. Unfortunately, the ordered items were never delivered, and the victim’s attempts to resolve the issue were met with the Instagram page blocking them.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the Moniepoint account to which the payment was made was fraudulent.
Furthermore, the lady whose image is used on the Instagram page had posted a disclaimer on her personal Instagram account, disassociating herself from the Declutter page.
Following a thorough inquiry conducted by one of the victims, she successfully uncovered the identity linked to the Moniepoint account.
As of now, the victims have neither received the ordered items nor obtained a refund.
