A makeup artist from Akwa Ibom has described how Classicwearsbytee, an Instagram seller of secondhand clothing, scammed her out of N30,000 naira.
On April 16, she made the payment to the Instagram vendor and expected to receive her dress in two days.
When the customer didn’t receive the goods on Tuesday as promised by the page handler, she contacted the handler and asked for details as to when she should expect to receive her delivery.
Classicwearsbytee’s handler was online, but she did not respond to any of the messages sent by the customer.
The makeup artist stated that she paid the vendor with the small profits from her business and that the money she sent her was earned hard from her growing business as a makeup artist.
The victim went to Instagram to accuse Classicwearsbytee’s handler of being a fraud because she did not deliver her clothes as promised; the vendor blocked her after she accused her of being a fraud.
Further attempts to reach Classicwearsbytee were unsuccessful; her phone was switched off.
To date, no items have not been delivered, and no refunds have been issued.
