Air Peace made headlines with the launch of their Lagos to London flagship service in March 2024. However, alongside this excitement, a fraudulent scheme has emerged targeting unsuspecting customers.
On March 26th, a website named http://flyairpeace.uk was registered via “namecheap.com” by “Flight Mood Ltd” in the UK, with registration number 11252493. While the website has since been suspended, a snapshot from March 26th is available at “https://web.archive.org/web/20240326165609/https://flyairpeace.uk/”. This archived page displays contact information including a now-disconnected phone number (02038131063) and WhatsApp contact.
Recently, individuals have reported receiving calls from a man named David Gray (with an Asian accent) who claimed to represent Air Peace, offering flight bookings. Despite suspicions, bookings were made for dates ranging from April 6th to April 13th, 2024, from London to Lagos. The scammer allegedly requested payments through UK bank accounts.
This elaborate scam is a stark warning to the public. It’s essential to verify the authenticity of booking platforms and always exercise caution with online transactions. Unfortunately, attempts to confirm the legitimacy of Flight Mood Ltd with Air Peace yielded no response.
Spread awareness to prevent others from falling prey to these deceitful practices.
