In the world of online shopping, scams, and fraudulent activities have become increasingly prevalent.
One recent victim fell victim to a page called Abdulsalam_agro on Instagram, which claimed to sell various food items online.
The Scam:
The victim, lured by the attractive prices displayed on Abdulsalam_agro’s Instagram page, decided to purchase.
She ordered 20 jumbo snails amounting to N15,000 Nigerian Naira and paid an additional delivery fee of N2,000, totaling N17,000.
However, to her dismay, the snails were never delivered as promised. When she attempted to contact the page’s handler, she discovered she had been blocked. Despite her efforts, neither the items nor a refund were provided.
