In a distressing incident on May 20, 2023, an innocent customer fell victim to the deceitful practices of the Instagram page @okebless_place, which purportedly sells Turkish wear for ladies and children.
The victim approached the handler of @okebless_place with hopes of purchasing clothing items and proceeded to pay N24,000 Naira to the account provided by the page’s handler on Instagram.
However, more than a month had passed, and the clothes were still nowhere to be seen. Whenever the victim attempted to reach out to the handler via WhatsApp, the messages were read, but there was no response whatsoever.
Furthermore, the handler had added the victim to a WhatsApp group, and in a desperate attempt to get her money back, she sought assistance from other members of the group. Unfortunately, the victim was removed from the WhatsApp group instead of getting support.
As of now, neither the clothes have been delivered to the victim, nor has she received a refund for her hard-earned money.
