An unsuspecting student fell victim to an online scam orchestrated through the fraudulent Instagram page @the_cleoskin_supplements.
The student came across an enticing advertisement for various supplements on the said page, which was managed by an unknown handler.
Believing it to be genuine, the student proceeded to engage with the handler, who recommended several products.
These items, including sowhite collagen (₦16,000), meditarian snowcell (₦12,000), frozen detox (₦4,500), and Vit C (₦4,000), along with a delivery fee of ₦1,500, amounted to a total of ₦34,000.
Trusting the credibility of the page, the student made the payment as instructed.
However, immediately after the transaction, the handler of @the_cleoskin_supplements ceased all communication with the victim and subsequently blocked her.
To this day, no products have been delivered, and the victim has received no refund for the fraudulent transaction.
