An unsuspecting online shopper purchases a new pair of shoes from Instagram user @shoes_place_. He transferred N11,500 into the @shoes_place__ user’s account along with a delivery fee.
The online shopper informed the owner of the Instagram page earlier that the item was intended to be delivered to someone as a birthday gift.
Although the owner of the Instagram page claimed it had been sent to the rider and would be delivered the following day, the ordered item was not delivered as promised.
The dispatcher rider’s phone number that was issued out by the user of @shoes_place__ to the buyer is permanently switched off.
The online shopper also tried calling them, but they no longer return his calls. He also discovered that the user of @shoes_place__ turned on vanishing mode so all her conversations with any targets would disappear.
To date, no shoes have been delivered, and no refund has been issued.
