I paid for a second hand Phone to Olamide Habeebah Habeebah.phone.shop about a week ago. They promised to send it in two days time and places their location as Wuse Abuja. Only for them to start ignoring my messages and when I insinuated that their page is a scam, they blocked me. It was then it dawned on my that I had paid into a woman’s account while it looks like a man runs the page. There are also so many red flags like, no face to the page, they have changed username thrice in a year, their followers are mostly white people and their comments are from bot accounts. They apparently report and delete comments of people who call them out. The numbers on their page also never go through but they are very active on WhatsApp. Their business address was also confirmed not to exist by a friend of mine who lives in Abuja.
I wish Nigeria has a system in place to nab these thieves and retrieve our money but since that is not feasible now, I hope reporting them goes a long way.
