In a distressing development, Uchechi Ewiwilem, a businesswoman from Ebonyi State, finds herself entangled in a troubling situation after entrusting Festus Basil, CEO of Bas Wealth World Ltd., with N1,019,900 to procure 50 kerosene burner stoves for a client.
Despite receiving the payment, Basil only delivered two stoves, leaving Ewiwilem to face accusations of fraud from her client due to the outstanding 48 units.
Ewiwilem’s attempts to reach Basil proved futile as he evaded discussions and eventually vacated the office location listed online. Investigations revealed Basil’s history of fraudulent activities, including previous scams and a pattern of eluding creditors.
Repeated requests for a refund were met with excuses, with Basil making empty promises of repayment. Despite legal intervention, Ewiwilem remains empty-handed, with Basil continuing to avoid accountability.
Basil’s evasion tactics have extended to promising refunds at the end of each month, only to disappear when the time comes. Despite assurances, Basil has not refunded any money, earning him the label of a fraudster.
Efforts to contact Basil for clarification on refund promises have been unsuccessful, indicating a deliberate attempt to avoid accountability.
In light of these events, individuals are warned to exercise caution when dealing with Festus Basil and Bas Wealth World Ltd.
