These scammers have really upped their game. I don’t want to believe that some unprincipled guys within the banking industry are not cooperating with them.
One idiot called me today. He mentioned some of my bank details and BVN.
He told me this:
“Good day Sir, there is an error on your BVN registration. In your account opening form, your DOB is 10/10/198x but on your BVN, it was inputted as 10/10/198y. It was an error from us, and we have to rectify it now. Please did you link your BVN to any other bank?”
Then he said I should provide the card details of all the other banks, as well as that of the original bank (that he supposedly work for) where I did the BVN enrollment. Haba! Just like that? I insulted him and he immediately ended the call.
