On the 1st of January 2023, a Facebook user was bombarded with zoom lifestyle advertisement on Facebook about a draw organized and packaged by Peter Okoye, a Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter where you buy a certain prize within a space of 30 minutes.
The advertisement further says the giveaway ends that particular week, and they are giving out N10 million naira to anyone that will be getting the zoom ticket, the Facebook user indicated interest and fell for the antics.
He bought a ticket for N20,000 naira, was called, and messaged that he won but must pay another money before they can be paid the prize of N250,000 naira. This is when he realized he was scammed.
Ignorant and innocent people are going to be scammed by scammers who use Peter Okoye as a ploy with the use of zoom lifestyle draw.
