Scamexpress, a trusted source for reporting scams on Instagram, recently received a report about a fraudulent page called mirasbaggies on Instagram. An unsuspecting victim fell prey to this scam and reached out to Scamexpress to share her experience.
The victim came across a bag she admired on the mirasbaggies page and initiated contact with the handler of the page. After negotiating, she paid N29,000 naira for the bag to the account provided by the handler. The handler assured her that the item would be delivered within three working days.
Unfortunately, the promised item never arrived, and the victim’s attempts to reach out to the handler went unanswered. She soon discovered that she had been blocked on both Instagram and WhatsApp by mirasbaggies’ handler.
Concerned about the situation, Scamexpress decided to investigate further and contacted mirasbaggies on Instagram to hear their side of the story. The handler claimed that the item had gone missing, resulting in the failed delivery.
Given the circumstances, Scamexpress advised the handler of mirasbaggies to refund the money to the victim since they couldn’t fulfill the order. However, the handler of mirasbaggies not only failed to refund the payment but also blocked Scamexpress.
As of now, neither the bag has been delivered nor has the victim received a refund.
